1. What Information Do We Collect?

In short: We collect personal information you provide.
- Account & Contact Data: name, email address, password, company/role (optional).
- Billing & Payments: billing address, tax information (if applicable), and limited payment details (tokenized by our processor).
- Support & Communications: messages, requests, feedback, survey responses.
- Content You Upload or Connect: any data you choose to import into the Service (subject to our Terms).
Payment Data. We use third-party processors (e.g., Stripe) to securely process payments. Stripe collects and stores your payment instrument details on our behalf. See Stripe's privacy notice for details.
Accuracy. All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate; please keep it up to date.
B. Information collected automatically
In short: Certain data is collected automatically when you use the Services.
- Log & Usage Data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, feature usage, date/time stamps, and diagnostic information (e.g., crash logs).
- Device Data: hardware model, operating system, mobile network information (if applicable), and system configuration.
- Location Data: approximate location derived from IP address (city/region level). You can limit this via your device or browser settings.
C. Information from third parties
In short: We may receive limited data from service providers.
- Payment Processors: transaction result, last 4 digits/brand of card, and fraud signals.
- Authentication/SSO Providers (if enabled): basic profile info (e.g., verified email).
We do not purchase data brokers' lists.
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
We process personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and secure the Services;
- Set up and maintain your account;
- Process transactions and send notices (e.g., invoices, receipts);

- Analyze usage to improve features and performance;

3. What Legal Bases Do We Rely On?
If you are in the EEA/UK/Switzerland: We rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract (Article 6(1)(b)): processing necessary to provide the Services you requested.
- Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f)): e.g., securing and improving the Service (balanced against your rights).
- Consent: where required (e.g., certain marketing cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal Obligation: compliance with laws, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Vital Interests: to help prevent harm in rare emergencies.
Cross-Border Transfers: Data may be transferred to the United States in compliance with the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Canada: We rely on express or implied consent where required, and other lawful bases as allowed by Canadian law.
United States: We process in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and, where required, your consent.
4. When and With Whom Do We Share Personal Information?
We may share personal information with:
- Service Providers / Vendors: e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, customer support tools, email delivery, payments (Stripe). These parties are vetted vendors (e.g., Stripe, AWS, OpenAI) under signed Data Processing Addendums (DPAs) ensuring equivalent protections.
- Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, due diligence, or sale of assets.
- Legal/Compliance: to comply with valid legal process; to protect rights, safety, and property; to detect/prevent fraud or abuse; or to enforce our Terms.
- Your Direction or Consent: where you ask us to share or connect with a third party.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?
Yes. We (and our providers) may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Services, remember your preferences, and measure performance. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.
6. How Do We Handle Social Logins?
If you choose to register or sign in using a third-party account (e.g., Google, GitHub—if enabled), we may receive certain profile information (such as verified email and name) from that provider, consistent with their privacy policy and your settings. We use this data solely to authenticate you and operate your account.
7. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
User data is retained during active use and deleted within 12 months of account closure or inactivity, unless required by law (e.g., tax and accounting).
When no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize data. If deletion is not immediately possible (e.g., backups), we will securely store and isolate it until deletion.
8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information (e.g., access controls, encryption in transit, least-privilege access, monitoring).
Breach Notification: In the event of a personal data breach, LaunchDS will notify affected users and authorities within 72 hours.
However, no Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Use the Services within a secure environment and notify us promptly of any suspected compromise.
9. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
LaunchDS is not directed to individuals under 16 and does not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that personal information from a person under 16 has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe we may have data from a minor, contact privacy@launchds.tech.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access and obtain a copy of your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Delete personal information (subject to legal exceptions);
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Data portability (where applicable);
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time (unsubscribe links or email us).
Exercising your rights: Email privacy@launchds.tech (and include sufficient details to verify your identity). We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Account Information. You can review or update certain account details in your profile. If you request account deletion, we will deactivate/delete it and information from active systems, subject to lawful retention needs.
Cookies. Most browsers let you control cookies. Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality. See our Cookie Policy for options.
11. Controls for Do-Not-Track (DNT)
Most browsers include a Do-Not-Track setting. No uniform standard currently exists for DNT signals, so we do not respond to them. If a standard is adopted, we will update this Policy.
12. U.S. State Privacy Disclosures
Some U.S. state laws (e.g., California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA)) provide residents with specific rights, including the right to know/access, correct, delete, data portability, and to opt out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising, sale/sharing, profiling for significant effects).

You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email.
